Having pursued learning, question loomed

In an unpredictable society, development of own capability is increasingly important. We should update ourselves with own initiative and ride on the wave of society transformation.

However, our effort of own capacity development will not sustain if we are not quite certain of the rationale. Learning mere techniques will lead to burn-out sooner or later. I began to understand that clarifying the why, which is to identify the issue to be solved, is important instead.

Identification of issue is not easy. It seems the identification process is not solely done by oneself. On the other hand, we will be required how well the issue be turned into words.

Because learning process will not complete within oneself. We will have to learn from and with others. In such an event, the issue that I am addressing should be well understood by others. That is, we will have to articulate own issue in a way that others can easily understand.

In the realm of facilitation, issue is commonly handled through question: asking a good question leads to the identification of issue. Through questions, others should be inspired and concurrently pursue the issue. Good questions need such a function.

Having resulted in question, I keenly feel uneasy with the learning that I aimed for, whether the learning was right. Pursuit or curiosity may be more appropriate.

It seems my question has not been well set. With more opportunities, I will have to test my ideas with others. ■
